BBC StoryWorks - BBC Africa Sizzle
For this project we were tasked with creating an engaging sizzle reel to demonstrate the different ways in which BBC StoryWorks sells and distributes their media and advertising across Africa. I wanted to ensure that the graphics highlighted their content clearly and had a nod to a variety of devices, while looking sleek and being on brand. Using a glass like border effect does this effectively.
Throughout the project I worked closely with an editor, production members and the client to deliver a set of style frames and animation tests, before creating and animating the final assets in After Effects.

Early Style Frame Animation Test
At the start of this project I developed a handful of different style approaches and put them on a branded board to send over to the client. On here I included a small annotation about each one to show how we would animate it and would be would show each caption and website/article/phone UI sections. Here you can see an early animation test I did for our preferred style, which the client ended up going for, along with a few adaptations along the way. Below you can see a few screenshots of other proposed styles on a RATCHET branded board.
